Properties display settings
Rent Fetch includes settings that control many aspects of how your properties display. However, if the settings prove insufficient to your needs, there are also filters and hooks a developer can use to take full control of how your properties output!
Google Maps API Settings
Location: WordPress Admin > Rent Fetch > Settings > Properties > Maps API
This page configures Google Maps integration for property displays and searches.
Settings:
- Google Maps API Key: Required API key from Google Cloud Console for Maps functionality
- Google Maps Marker: Optional URL to a custom marker image (defaults to standard Google marker)
- Google Maps Styles: JSON array for custom map styling (link to Snazzy Maps for examples)
- Default Latitude: Map center latitude when no results are found (default: 39.7392)
- Default Longitude: Map center longitude when no results are found (default: -104.9903)
Property Search Settings
Location: WordPress Admin > Rent Fetch > Settings > Properties > Property Search
This page controls the property search interface, including which filters are available and search behavior.
Search Filters:
Featured Property Filters (shown by default):
- Text-based search (enhanced with Relevanssi plugin)
- Beds search
- Baths search
- Square footage search
- Property category search
- City search
- Property type search
- Date search
- Price search
- Amenities search
Additional Search Filters (available in expanded search):
- Same options as featured filters (must include all featured filters)
Search Display Settings:
- Property Availability Display:
- Show all properties (ignore availability)
- Only show properties with availability
- Hide Number of Units: Checkbox to hide unit counts
- Apply Faded Styles: Apply faded styling to properties without availability
- Max Bedrooms to Search: Upper limit for bedroom filter (default: 99)
- Max Amenities to Show: Limit number of amenities displayed (default: 20)
- Maximum Properties Displayed: Performance limit for search results (recommended: ≤200)
- Disable School-Year Date Range: Remove school-year based date filtering
Price Filter Settings:
- Price Filter Minimum: Starting value for price range slider
- Price Filter Maximum: Ending value for price range slider
- Price Filter Step: Increment value for price slider
Property Archives Settings
Location: WordPress Admin > Rent Fetch > Settings > Properties > Property Archives
This page controls how properties are displayed in archive/listing views.
Settings:
- Property Pricing Display:
- Range format: “$1,999 to $2,999”
- Minimum format: “From $1,999”
- Property Link Behavior:
- Internal: Link to property detail page (shows external link button)
- External: Link directly to third-party property site
- Order Properties By:
- Menu order (drag/drop reordering)
- Publish date
- Last modified date
- Post ID
- Alphabetical (by title)
- Alphabetical (by slug)
- Random
- Property Order Direction:
- Ascending
- Descending
Property Single Settings
Location: WordPress Admin > Rent Fetch > Settings > Properties > Property Single
This page controls which components appear on individual property detail pages.
Single Property Components (checkboxes):
- Property images: Property image gallery
- Section navigation: Sticky navigation menu for page sections
- Property details: Basic property information (title, address, contact)
- Floorplans display: Floorplan listings with pricing and availability
- Property fees display: Fees and charges section
- Amenities display: Property amenities list
- Property map: Google Maps integration
- Nearby properties: Related properties section
Additional Settings:
- Property Footer Grid Maximum: Number of properties to show in footer grid (default: -1 for unlimited)
Property Fees Settings
Location: WordPress Admin > Rent Fetch > Settings > Properties > Property Fees
This page sets global fallback fees that display when property-specific fees aren’t available.
Option 1: CSV Upload or Link
- File Upload: Direct CSV file upload for fee data
- URL Link: Link to externally hosted CSV file
- Sample CSV Download: Reference format for fee data
- Current Data Export: Download existing fee data
Option 2: Embed Code
- Embed Code Textarea: Custom HTML/embed code (PDFs from Canva, iframes, etc.)
- Security Note: Code should be from trusted sources
CSV Format Requirements:
Columns: description, price, frequency, notes, category
