FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
What is Rent Fetch?
Rent Fetch is a WordPress plugin that syncs with your property management software to display automatically updated property, floor plan, and unit availability, pricing, and other data on your property website or multifamily property management website.
What is the monthly or per-property licensing fee for the plugin (e.g., what is the bulk rate for a large number of properties)?
View Rent Fetch pricing here. If you have a single apartment or rental property, the monthly fee is simple, and if you’re a property management company, there’s a small fee per property you sync. Not syncing any data? Then Rent Fetch is free for your use.
Where can we download the free version of Rent Fetch (e.g., in the WordPress repository) and the premium sync plugin files?
You can download the free version of the Rent Fetch plugin in the WordPress repository here. If you need to sync property data, you will need a premium license key, which can be purchased on our website here.
How often does Rent Fetch update pricing and availability?
Automated pricing and availability updates depend on the feed schedule provided by your property management software. For instance, if your software provider sends data only once daily, Rent Fetch will also update pricing and availability one time per day.
Does Rent Fetch include shortcodes we can use?
Yes, Rent Fetch has shortcodes for displaying custom views of your property data easily. You can view the list of shortcode parameters here: https://rentfetch.io/docs/
How do we obtain the required credentials (like property codes, Company Code, and the API license key) to finalize the setup?
You can refer to our documentation and support articles on getting started and how to obtain credentials, depending on which property management software you’re using.
Can Rent Fetch integrate with multiple PMS providers? Example: if we have 20 properties using Yardi RentCafe and 20 using Entrata?
Yes, Rent Fetch can sync with multiple data sources, and you can even manually manage some properties and sync others! Please note that the various PMS providers sometimes provide different information through their APIs.
Can we customize the look and design of the information shown?
Short answer: yes. Anything is possible! Properties and floor plans are synced to your WordPress site as custom content types, so you can customize the output of those fully, and we provide lots of hooks and filters for developers to interact with.
Please note that significant customizations may involve custom development work, which is outside of the scope of the plugin licensing costs. Contact us for an estimate on any custom design requests and we’d be happy to chat.
What information is pulled over via the API?
This varies by the partner’s API and the information that the company provides. Our team will be in touch with specific information per Property Management Software on what data (if any) you may need to input manually.
Do all PMSs have an API?
No, not all PMSs have an API available that we can integrate with, in which case we can offer to manage the properties and floor plan data manually.
Does our Yardi subscription need to be on RentCafe or Voyager to gain access to the necessary APIs for dynamic syncing?
Yes, you need to have RentCafe as not all Yardi products have APIs which allow for the integration and sync to occur. Please contact your Yardi representative if you have any questions on which product(s) you’re using.
Can some information be handled manually even if we’re integrating with an API?
Yes! Rent Fetch gives you the capability to manage properties, floor plans, and individual units – manually, syncing with your software, or a mixture of both! You can also manually add specific data that you may not want syncing (such as amenity names, marketing photos, etc.), and have other fields, such as the pricing and availability dates, be dynamic.
Is there a long term contract?
There is no long-term contract; everything with Rent Fetch’s premium sync plugin is month-to-month!
